I am a doctoral student in the School/Clinical Psychology program at The University of Texas at Austin. Within my counseling work, I love helping clients learn to cope with internalizing concerns such as anxiety and depression. I am also interested in utilizing a systems-based approach, which considers the influence that a particular “system” or “environment”––such as a family, a classroom, or a workspace––can have on our physical and mental health.
Prior to beginning my doctoral training at UT Austin, I earned my bachelor’s degree from Boston College in General Psychology with a focus on Clinical Psychology and a minor in Spanish. My academic and professional experiences have involved supporting children, adolescents, and families in the United States and abroad. I have gained clinical experience in inpatient acute care facilities, outpatient specialty clinics, and schools, providing consultative services to adults with substance use disorders and children with anxiety, depression, and other challenges like disorders of gut-brain interaction (DGBI). I am passionate about continuing to work with children, adolescents, and their families in a private practice setting, providing culturally responsive, high-quality care. As a bilingual provider, I offer services in both English and Spanish
In addition to my professional interests, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, as well as exploring the city of Austin. Originally from Spain, I grew up in New York before making the solo move to Austin. I love exploring this new city, spending time outside, and getting to know everything that Austin has to offer.
