I am a doctoral student in the School Psychology program at The University of Texas at Austin. Within my counseling work, I love helping clients learn to cope with internalizing concerns such as anxiety and depression. I am also interested in utilizing a systems-based approach, which considers the influence that a particular “system” or “environment”––such as a family, a classroom, or a workspace––can have on our physical and mental health.

Prior to beginning my doctoral training at UT Austin, I earned my bachelor’s degree in General Psychology with a focus on Clinical Psychology at Boston College. Through my studies, I have supported children, adolescents, families, and educators across early childhood, elementary, secondary, and post-secondary educational settings in the United States and abroad in both public (e.g., schools) and private (e.g., psychiatric rehabilitation clinics) institutions. I am eager to continue my work with children, adolescents, and their families in the private practice setting and provide culturally responsive, high-quality care. Further, I am bilingual (English/Spanish) and provide services in both English and Spanish.

In addition to my professional interests, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, as well as exploring the city of Austin. Originally from Spain, I grew up in New York before making the solo move to Austin. I love exploring this new city, spending time outside, and getting to know everything that Austin has to offer.
