I am a licensed psychologist who practices in Austin, Texas. I completed two doctoral programs, one at "Sapienza" University of Rome and the other one at The University of Texas at Austin. Through these programs, I gained extensive experience in counseling, consultation, and assessment in public schools, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, and mental health community agencies. I also developed a strong expertise on attachment issues. My degree specialties are in clinical and developmental psychology. I completed my APA-approved pre-doctoral internship at Forth Worth Independent School District, serving children across K-12 educational settings.
I have experience teaching upper-division undergraduate courses on lifespan development and emotional and behavioral disorders in childhood, as I held a position as an adjunct instructor and visiting scholar at the University of Texas at Austin in the Human Development and Family Sciences and Educational Psychology departments. I continue to do research on attachment relationships and emotional wellbeing. Through the different facets of my work, I nurture my passion for fostering mental health in our community.
I am trilingual (English/Spanish/Italian) and I particularly enjoy providing services to a diverse population. As an Italian immigrant and an experienced clinician in working with minorities, I comprehend the challenges of adapting to new environments and cultural values.
In my personal life, I love spending time with my husband and two kids. I enjoy traveling, going back to Rome, and visiting my husband’s family in Taiwan and China. I am a tango dancer and I relax taking classes and getting together with the Austin tango community.
